Not often spending more than a night in one place and being in England where the weather isn't usually that hot I don't tend to suffer from the dreaded droop but a few trips abroad and the recent hot weather have had an effect on my equipment! Well it's your lucky day! I've done the prototyping so you don't have to - you just need a 3D printer!

Please note this isn't intended to be a post about whether the Ocean roof sags in the heat, spoiler - it does, or about whether roof locks similar to this are a good or bad idea. This post is only intended to help those of us who are lucky enough to own a 3D printer and who would like to use this method to prevent sagging.

I've included the STL files so you can modify the length / hex detail if you have different bolts available and before anyone chirps up about the similarity to the Top Stop, yes it is visually the similar but that's just the shape it has to be and all of the measurements and prototyping are original. Obviously this is for personal use only and not for commercial or resale!

I printed in PETG with 4 perimeters and 15% cubic infill on a CoreOne, print on the ends and the only supports required are under the hex. Please note that the internal void also has 4 perimeters and is there to give additional strength.View attachment 149513View attachment 149512

Can I ask how it stops the roof from sagging? Looks like it could just slide along with the scissors??

Not much point duplicating the same thread again.
