Roof issue

Hi all
We have a new 5 month old ocean
We have had vw out as the roof was stuck in the open position - “roof fault “ initially as getting rid of the codes it kept going out a foot then saying obstruction ( there wasn’t any) and went back up with with the hydrolics motor having a tantrum in the boot. Then they removed a multiplug to the special vehicle control unit to hard reboot and it’s down for the journey home in two days. We are nervous to put it back up. Ps it’s not the leisure battery - that’s fine - anyone else had issues.
We know you can bring it down manually but then it has to be strapped down and you can’t travel more than 37 mph- and there are no strap in the van for some reason

Apologies typo it been along day
It’s a T7 ocean and should say going down a foot then back up to fully open - saying obstruction which there was not- it’s never been up in the rain or wind and the van is on flat ground.

It’s warranty, no? The roof works on sensors to know if it is open and closed, as well as pressure - after being sat a while ours can only pop out a foot and then say it’s open, due to the roof “sticking” after time. Usually just opens after that. VW will likely need to refit/set your sensors.
