I’ve had a good old search but haven’t been able to find anything specific regarding remedial work to my blistering roof. It’s only a small area (see photos), it’s outside the warranty (2016 cali) and I’m looking at solutions that are going to stop it getting worse. I’m not looking at replacing the whole roof, I was thinking helicopter tape, sanding back carefully and re-lacquering or something similar. If anyone has any experience or can link some post then I’d be really grateful. Photos attached for reference.

That looks as if the clear coat has blistered.
To repair blistered or peeling clear coat on your car's paintwork, you must completely remove the failing lacquer and spray a fresh layer. Step-by-Step Repair Process
1. Prep and Clean the PanelWash the car thoroughly with automotive soap to remove dirt and wax. Wipe the damaged area down with a degreaser or panel wipe to ensure a clean surface.
2. Sand the Blistered AreaUse 400 to 600-grit wet/dry sandpaper (lubricated with soapy water) to sand away the blistered and peeling clear coat.Keep sanding until you create a smooth "feathered" edge where the old clear coat meets the bare base coat.If the blister is deep and has exposed the primer or bare metal, gently sand the edges smooth.
3. Apply Base Coat (If Necessary)If you sanded down to the primer, you will need to re-apply your base coat.Mask off the surrounding untouched areas to avoid over-spray.Apply the base coat in light, even sweeps. Let it flash dry (dull over) for about 5–10 minutes between coats.
4. Spray the New Clear CoatEnsure the base coat is fully dry.Apply a light “tack” coat of 2K clear lacquer, wait 5 minutes, then apply a second, slightly heavier wet coat to get a deep shine.Spray overlapping strokes, keeping the aerosol can about 15 to 20cms away from the panel to avoid runs.
5. Cure and Finish Let the new clear coat cure for at least 24 hours. Once fully hardened, use ultra-fine 1500–2000 grit wet sandpaper to lightly flatten any minor orange-peel texture. Finally, polish the area with a cutting compound and a microfiber cloth to blend it perfectly with the rest of the car's finish.
