Return trip from st Raphael

Hi all, we’ve just finished a fab trip to French Riviera and will be heading back to Calais in a couple of days. Does anyone have a nice scenic route back avoiding big cities? We came down via champagne, Annecy, Grenoble so preferably a different route back. Thanks

Thanks we actually did Route Napoleon on the way down and you’re right it’s unreal but we want to try a different route back. Someone suggested burgundy region for scenery and wine!

Our preferred route back from that neck of the woods is along to Genoa, 90 left, Milan then pick a route over the Alps.
Interlaken is worth a trip so St Gothard maybe.

Maybe, go via Pont Du Gard, then up the Rhône valley, possibly call in Montelimar for some Nougat and drive the ardeche gorge, stop over in Beaune, fill up with wine and history.

Gorges de l'Ardèche is truly spectacular but definitely not to be rushed. Allow the best part of the day and soak up the best view points
