Replacing gas stove with electric hob

Surely buy the IKEA induction hob and plug it directly to the campsite socket via an adapter. Like people do with fridges etc. Leave the van out of the equation.

With tvs and air fryers I wonder why people don’t just stay at home. It’s the same with upgrading to lithium batteries. I mean how much power do you need? You have endless power at home. Just stay there. But that’s a whole different thread/story.

I suspect the OP has left the chat.

HI, I'm thinking of replacing my gas stove with an electric hob and running off a power bank - model is 2015 SE (T5.1 facelift model). Has anyone done this? If so, how expensive is it and how do I go about it? I'd love to do as much of it myself as possible. Next question - is it possible to then replace the cylindrical water tank? Or should I just use the middle of it as extra storage? Thanks for your help in advance.
We cook mainly with electric. A single hob on an extension lead to the table outside, or inside if it is cold. Hardly use the gas but it is there if we are not on hook up or in transit.

Single hob abot £20. My wife is an excellent and capable cook and can make virtually anything just using a single hot plate. My brother cooks likewise but with a double hob.

Personally, I wouldn't buy a California if it was electric only.
