Replacement fridge on T5

The Fridge on our VW T5 cali has bitten the dust. VW France have them in stock but are quoting the astounding price of 2760€ for the 41 ltr model. That's a ripp off. Can anyone suggest an alternative supplier?

Get the old one repaired. They’re not exactly complicated.

Do you need to replace the entire unit? Before spending €€€€ I would want to try and diagnose where the issue currently is. The fridges (probably) use standard compressors & controllers from Danfoss/Secop and maybe a controller swap would solve the issue.
I had to change the controller on my compressor coolbox a year or so ago for ~ £200.
