Had mine in for ages no problems, passed MOT fine with no mention of beam pattern problems etc, lovely and bright at night and I can now actually see where I am going

Because LEDs are drawing so much less power, your computer thinks there is no bulb installed. You need add a CANbus controller (mainly a resistor) into the system.

Yep! tried that also in conjunction with LED supplier but both me and them gave up. VW are given as a problem compatability manufacturer on many sites. Didn't have any problem with same bulbs test fitted in a Citroen.
Tried offroad powerful 55W LED to no avail.
Only solution not tried was to get someone to go into bulb sensing settings and reset the resistance figure or turn off bulb failure option.

Was only fitting in mainbeam and could have just ignored warning when mainbeam selected, only came on when actually selected.
Didn't try the newer Osram LED option.
