Rear air con unit - Warranty worth it’s money!

Took my 2002 Ocean in on Monday as the rear aircon was blasting out every time we started the engine. Thanks to this forum, checked the buttons and they were stuck down.

Very glad we have the All In Warranty, just seen the theoretical bill for the new panel and labour, £900 plus labour I knew it would be costly as anything electronic always seems to be, didn’t expect it to be that much. Now very thankful we have a warranty!

Warranty great but many have found the issue remains - have a look at the threads around a simple fix for anyone mechanically minded, sorted mine without faffing with a dealer.

I read some of the previous posts, I can see this may not be the last we hear of the issue. I know some have removed the panel and greased the back of the buttons. While it’s under warranty I’ll use it, but after that. I’ll use one of the other fixes. They have know about this issue for years, shame they haven’t come up with a permenant fix!!
