Propane attachment query

Hi, apologies if this has been covered previously....

Just picked up our GC600 and fitted an 11kg FloGas bottle. I hand threaded the hose onto the bottle, seemed to go nice and tight, and all seemed well, until we started to notice a faint smell of gas.

I turned off the bottle, put the plug back in, and removed the hose.

Any advice as to what I am doing wrong? Do I need to get a spanner and REALLY tighten it? Or am I missing some kind of rubber seal from the fitting on the end of the hose?

You’ll need a spanner to get a tight seal.
