OK - so my requirement is to have a secondary portable fridge powered by the on-site electricity supply. This is the convoluted solution I've come up with...
Plug the main cable into the site power supply, and the other end into a 3-way power distributor (i've seen them in go outdoors for about £16). From the distributor have a smaller length cable going into the van socket, and have another cable going from the distributor which has 4 UK 3 pin sockets at the other end (readily available). I intend to run this fridge inside a toilet/pup tent so this can sit inside that, and I simply plug the fridge into it.
When leaving the site for the day, all that I need to do is unplug the van cable from the distributor, and re-attach it on returning to the site.
My question is will this work? Is there a better solution? I'm trying to avoid powering the secondary fridge from the 12v during the day (as well as the main one).
Thanks.
