Portable Fire Pits

Just had a look on +amazon+. Does everything fit inside the storage tin.

Yes it folds up and fits inside - mine came with a carry bag for the tin aswell. It hardly takes up any space at all.

Wouldn't these be classed as an open fire and be banned in a lot of hot dry countries? A good way to start a forest fire?

Yes, you can't use them (or any other open fire) to cook on in many Southern European countries in the Summer.

I have one of these instead for cooking on gas outside for those times:

Maybe it's the way you wrote this:

"I hadn’t realised quite how expensive the snow peak was. I bought mine for a lot less from here:.."

You didn't buy a Snow Peak fire pit. You bought a different brand that is not comparable in quality.

Anyway I'm sure it's fine.

As is a Transit with a tent on - but it's still not a California. :)
Correct, I didn't say I bought a snow peak. I'd never heard of them, I bought a relatively expensive pit of the same design that is fantastic quality. I'm not sure what another £200 would have given me. .

Possibly. :)

English grammar is hard. I'm no good at it either.

I think my grammar was ok, we were discussing fire pits and I then said where I’d bought mine from. You misinterpreted this as me saying I’d bought a snow peak. I think.

Anyway, this forum is normally pretty nice without nitpicking so let’s move on.

Bought this four years ago. Everyone comments on it. Use it every trip for BBQ and Fire!! It folds flat and is made by robots in a Japanese factory.

It's expensive but not when you consider it has a lifetime warranty.

Snow Peak Tabiki Solo.

I don't use it that often but take it always as it packs so thin and fits neatly under the rear shelf so there's pacticaly no storage space loss. And when you do use it is so good. Look at the folded dimensions 45.5 x 26.5 x 6cm. It is pricy, but quality. 20220417_205239.jpg 17.9” x 10.4”x2.4"20220417_200131.jpg
