As you can see, my manual for my 2021 T6.1 Ocean says I should press the button which is supposed to be on the B pillar, but there is no such button. So what is the solution for disabling the motion sensor when locking the car with dog in the car? Double click the lock button on the fob? Thanks

We don't have the button either, so a double key click. We use this method on ferries.

You have to go into the vehicle setting in the infotainment. From memory it's under 'locking/unlocking'.
Is really annoying that they deleted the button...

I asked Gemini this question and got this response, which gives me what I need. The key fob double press is the simplest but does allow someone to break a window and open the door, thought the vehicle is still immobilised. The infortainment method is more secure but less convenient.

Method 1: The Key Fob Double-Click (Quickest)
This is the easiest way to lock the van from the outside with your pet inside: [1]
  1. Close all the doors and windows.
  2. Press the Lock button on your key fob twice quickly (within 2 seconds).
  3. What this does: It locks the exterior doors but deactivates the interior motion sensors and the Safelock (deadlock) system.
  4. Important note: Because deadlocking is deactivated, someone could theoretically smash a window and open the door using the interior handle. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Method 2: The Infotainment Screen (Maximum Security)
If you want to keep the deadlocks fully engaged so the doors cannot be opened from the inside if a window is broken, use the main screen: [1, 2]
  1. Keep the ignition on.
  2. On your central Infotainment screen, go to: Vehicle Settings > Opening & Closing > Interior Monitoring.
  3. Uncheck or toggle the setting to OFF.
  4. Turn off the engine, exit, and press the key fob lock button once.
  5. What this does: This keeps the deadlocks fully armed on the exterior doors while leaving the interior motion sensors safely turned off. [1, 2]

⚠️ Critical Reminders for Pet Safety
  • One-time only: Both methods are temporary. The system will automatically reset to its default, fully armed state the next time the van is unlocked and locked again. You must repeat this process every time you leave your pet.
