No engine battery voltage information on the tablet or app

Hi All,

First post here :)
Just got the beach camper and I realized, unlike in many videos I’ve seen, my tablet/app don’t show the engine battery voltage.
Note that it sometimes randomly shows some moving numbers but most of the time it’s blank.
The current charge in % is shown though. Only the second battery shows the „charging“ symbol on it.

I wonder, is this normal?

No idea, but will want to see, what somebody recommends.
Going to be a learning curve with the T7, that’s for sure.
 
Did you get an answer to this issue? I have a similar problem. I get the random rising and falling numbers on the centre control unit and then the blank reading for the vehicle battery. I don’t even get the percentage…
 
If you open doors it wakes up the vehicle battery display. You will see the voltage and a negative amperage. I think when the vehicle goes back to sleep after locking up the voltage and amps then don't show.

Like PK1950 says that’s normal behaviour.
I think when it is in hibernate mode it isn’t reading the volts, I wouldn’t be surprised if it is designed this way as voltage sensors are fairly rudimentary.
I am still trying to get my head around the -7amps figure I got when I started the van this morning. I’m not sure how it is deriving this information - if anybody knows that would be great.

I second that request :). Is the negative amp number the draw on the vehicle battery? For me that figure is typically 7-9 amps which is surely too high? If parked up my main battery runs down in days not weeks - a concern. Also I never get a percentage reading for the main battery on the central control panel. Is this normal?

Me neither just on the app and display in the rear.
Have you looked to see if you can get it to display in one of the dial views?

I meant the display in the rear - no percentage there for me
 
SOme problems also with my T7 Ocean but not exactly those; I have been told that software problems remain and will be solved; I would say.... contact your dealer.

It would be good if we knew a little more detail about the issues your dealer is suggesting will be fixed. Im also interested in the fact that they are implying the fix won’t be ‘over the air’ but needs a dealer visit.
My Ocean electrical system has been predictable, my only concern is the starter battery which so far has also been faultless, but like others I do see a drop to 80% capacity when parked up. I suspect they haven’t got a shunt on the starter battery so it is just using the voltage drop to estimate capacity.

DO you mean a drop to 80% in the leisure battery? How long is" parked up"? I try to understand my T7 ocean PHEV batteries but so far and due to discharged problems is impossible.
 
So far my leisure battery capacity is never less than 80% full after fitting the solar panels.
I guess this reflects the amount of capacity that has been used during the hours of darkness.
Before the solar panels I managed to get it down to 40% when I was staying off grid in central London (some may ask about my secret London location!)

I would say 7-9 amps is generically the sort of value you would see on a normal modern car when the car is woken up but not running (trigger will be something like unlocked and/or door open and/or remote request) - I would expect that there is a fairly aggressive time out that drops it out of that state within 3-10 mins, it will be a stepped reduction as various systems drop out and return to deeper levels of sleep. Flat batteries that happen overnight or over only a couple of days is indicative of a software issue were the vehicle is held awake indefinitely (using closer to the 7amp number than mA it should be). The issue persists until the battery goes flat and then the issue disappears as the module at fault ends up reset.

What do you have running from lesuire batteries? Just the fridge, or other items ?
