Hi everyone, long time camper but new to van life. Our new T7 Ocean eHybrid is due by the end of June, which is only 3 months from ordering. This may be because no one wants the hybrid but it is nice to drive.
Happy to answer any questions members may have about it, as I am sure to have loads of questions for you.

Is it the 4Motion hybrid ?

Yes it is. From a VW press release I understand the rear wheels are both driven by electric motors only.

Nice, this is what I have on order from breeze.
1.5tsi hybrid 23kWh 4Motion Ocean.
Apparently due 1st August now.
I wonder if there will be a form of diff lock?
I thought and was told by sales guy, two electric motors, one at front, one at rear.
But who knows.
I don’t think they know at the factory yet, until they figure out, how to put it together :D

I've just taken delivery of a Tiguan with the same hybrid engine, I'm really pleased with it so I'm you'll love it too in the Cali. It's brilliant for short journeys which can be made on electric only and thus saving money.

I was told the same by the dealer that they're hardly selling any PHEV's anymore. I'm really not sure why as they're a great compromise. I'm guessing people are just worrying about the repair cost when they get older.

You'll have to share your pics and experiences of your lovely new vans :)

Hi all... My Cali Ocean PHEV is 2 months now...some issues with it...could anyone tell me when electric charge is 80% (as recommended maximum charging load by VW) the number of km to be done? It is shown in the control panel next to the charge tool bar.

I also had problems with motor and also leisure battery; regarding leisure battery dealer said a software problem that needs to be fixed by VW according to PR (production code) ; but no code yet...shortly (the point is that does not recharge while driving but it does when connected to mains
Regarding motor battery...I dont know yet; right now in -4 floor parking; no battery at all. I need autoassistance to start it on and hopefully drive to dealer. discharged without any reason. Let´s wait and see!

Did you have a V2L option when ordering? This allows the traction battery to be accessed for 230v power, usually at 2400 or 3600w and super helpful for camping.

Oh man, this isn’t what I wanted to hear, but thank you for saying out anyway !
Sounds like major firmware update needed. What a pain. Almost like I don’t want mine delivered yet until the update is programmed !
And / or module upgrade.
It must be something with how it looks at different levels of SOC and moves power from lesuire to starter or visa versa.

Didn’t even know about this option !
Is this option EU only ?

I know that Welshgas said a while ago that it wasn't an option at present, though the Ford Nugget does have this option, so I'm hoping that it might move across to VW T7 PHEV at some point.

Hi Wannabe...you already asked me that... what is the purpose of V2L? To me it means you can give current to external devices from your batterys??? I may miss something....
