That’s promising. Any show stoppers such as a towbar/tow bar prep on your specification sheet ?
Phil
Has it been proven / stated that tow bar prep is delaying orders as opposed to orders with actual towbars

That’s great news. Mine is due there soon too.Hi all, actually my first post on here despite being signed up for almost a year and getting some really great advice!! so we officially ordered on 25th March 2021 and finally got the long awaited news that it has arrived at the dealers!
Apparently there were a few others too so anyone else due to pick up from SMG Tonbridge I might see you there!!
I think a lot of us need to come to terms with the fact that there is no rhyme nor reason to the hearsay on what it is or isn’t. Some may be right, others just making assumptions, dealer and here. Why? Having worked in this area for a long time we have to remember there is no direct line from a factory in Germany to a Dealer in the UK. Any comms with the factory is from them to the UK head office in MK and then any comms to a dealer through dealer bulletins and relayed via their OEM employed zone managers. Cali Chris and his ever changing beard does not, unfortunately, have a bat phone to the factory. There is also the added link of “PR polish” added so that the factory is not seen to be advertising it’s issues. There are many links in this chain of whispers that can warp and change these messages, with additional “facts” given just to give a reason, any reason, to an angry and upset customer who rings every other day. It’s the towbar is a better answer than I don’t know and probably never will. We used to issue factory Warranty bulletins all the time and then mystery shop the local dealers to check their understanding. There was always confusion and hearsay, as well as dealers exploiting the system to make money. They have a very particular set of skills.Has it been proven / stated that tow bar prep is delaying orders as opposed to orders with actual towbars
Not from where I'm sitting. I think I may have the longest (continuous) wait time for my LHD Coast w/towbar, than anyone else on this forum. Ordered mid Nov 2020 and still waiting, although told I might see it in April. From the posts on here it does seem to me that it is the Coast's which are coming through a little earlier than expected, with or without tow bar. Just speculation, but perhaps with less electronics and maybe clearing the orders as no longer available for now, they are being pushed through.
Should have said left factory end of wk6.Just phoned Eurovans Crawley and was told my Ocean 150 is at the UK port, and should be at the dealers in 5 to 10 days. Ordered April 29th 2021, build date wk5 2022, left factory end of wk7. No Vin number yet, should hear tomorrow.
David.
Ah, yes, maybe not all then. So sorry about the situation for you, I can only imagine the frustration. Seems a little inadequate to wish you luck, but will anyway. Not from where I'm sitting. Well could be worse. Cali Camper Family waited 2 years for their Ford hi-top Nugget.Ah, yes, maybe not all then. So sorry about the situation for you, I can only imagine the frustration. Seems a little inadequate to wish you luck, but will anyway.
I think you are right re Coasts. Our Oct 21 order has just had a build week of 12 confirmed. From the posts on here it does seem to me that it is the Coast's which are coming through a little earlier than expected, with or without tow bar. Our Ocean still at Status 00 (but with an Oct order, didn't really expect anything different).

It was en-route to the USA so I don't think anyone here will be.just seen this. I hope non of you are affected.
Fingers crossed for you.I think you are right re Coasts. Our Oct 21 order has just had a build week of 12 confirmed.
Well, at least we have already bought the awning - looks like 2022 will be just camping in that then ...It may take a bit longer:
According to the Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung the production of the VW t 6.1 will have to be stopped temporarily because of a supply chain issues caused by the war in the Ukraine >

Supplier problems because of the war: VWN threatens to stop production
The assembly lines in the Hanover commercial vehicle plant could come to a complete standstill as early as next week: Because suppliers in western Ukraine are no longer producing due to the Russian invasion, there are no longer any cable harnesses for new cars.
Let's hope the situation will improve soon....

No, otherwise I think I would still be waiting.Did you order a tow bar?
like meNo, otherwise I think I would still be waiting.
A good question. I asked my dealer (SMG Tonbridge) whether it was worth deleting it from my order and he said no, it wouldn’t make any difference to production date. From a June 21 order I’ve gone from unconfirmed week 10 to “sometime in March”. 4M Ocean.Has it been proven / stated that tow bar prep is delaying orders as opposed to orders with actual towbars
I ordered an Ocean 150 two weeks before you with a towbar and had the same build week. No, otherwise I think I would still be waiting.
This is definitely happening: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...re-disruption-on-parts-shortages-from-ukraineAccording to the Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung the production of the VW t 6.1 will have to be stopped temporarily because of a supply chain issues caused by the war in the Ukraine >
Hi Dysie!Still waiting on our 4WD Ocean ordered in June. Was planning to then take my time considering upgrading wheels to the all in Goodrich swamper style like your great looking Cali. Lots of info on here about impact on ride quality, fuel consumption etc. Looks like you have gone straight in and changed the wheelset. Was this an easy decision , any pros and cons ?
