New Engine Battery 2019 T6 Ocean 204

Just a bit of advice sought, please. My 2019 T6 Ocean 204 engine battery has died, not surprised given it's age. I'm looking for the following advice, please:
1, recommended replacement from your experience; and
2. how sshould I go about recoding the van once I've fitted the new battery?
I'm reasonably competent and have already replaced the leisure batteries, as well as numerous engine batteries on other vehicles. I have an OBD2 reader but haven't tried to use it yet so, can anyone point me to an 'idiot' guide to recoding, please?
I've tried to find answers on the forums but am wading through treacle!

Wish you asked me this 9months ago.....I went through treacle as it was nonsensical..... pretty sure I posted the findings on here for the VCDS coding once I found a solution which consisted of making up a number. I went with a Varta A7 AGM battery replacement for my 2015 180
