I'm very excited to intruduce to you the new Dometic SC330, and its accompanying TD283 Touch screen display. We are one of only a handful of resellers in the UK and we only sell them with our solar kits.

We already sell the Epever Duo charger, which is super reliable, but, has very poor Bluetooth app support , and is rather bulky. It works a treat, and is cheap (the price has just recently dropped from £130 to £79 (inc. cable and fuse). Also, its starter charging is meant as a maintenance charge, and tops out at 1Amp.

The new Dometic SC330 is less than half the size, has built in Bluetooth, will charge both leisure and starter, with the starter maximum charge current raised to 10Amps. The App "Büttner" as perfectly fine (a LOT better than Epever offerings) and shows the essential information. It's not as comprehensive as Victron Connect, but it works and looks good. The charger can also handle two completely seperate solar arrays, so you could have one or two panels on the roof, and then a 3rd seperate suitcase style fold out panel on the grass, plugged into the second panel port (if you have a triple panel roof kit you lose this option)

There is also an optional TS283 Touschscreen display - super thin and easy to install, and we can also provide a stick on super slim drill-free bracket which we print in house - many thanks and credit to our customer (and 1st Dometic purchaser!) who designed this: William Lee - thanks Will! The adapter saves the need to screw the display on, or drill the 8mm hole for the cable and its plug. It's also recessed at the top to allow for the Cali cupboard top metal trim.

They are not cheap - £145 for the SC330, and £125 for the TS283, but, they have filled a void in the market for dual charging MPPT controllers with a good app, and in small light format.

Looks good Roger.
Here's a link to the Dometic manual and documentation for forum users ...

Looks good......considering something like this for my Burstner to replace an LR1218....but I already have a PV array......but no display (stupid) and no connection to the vehicle battery... (stupid x2 or is there a concern of overcharging? / hmmmm / PWM vs MPPT debate)

Either way a display would be preferable

Where are you Roger? Dometic are showing no stores in England on their website?

Somerset, near Taunton. I'm not a "store" - I only sell them with my solar kits. Plus I only took delivery of the current LCDs yesterday, and the chargers are due in the next couple of days! :)

Interested in fitting one without Solar to my Burstner?

Hi Roger, out of interest, what would the benefits of retrofitting these to the 3 panel set up that you installed for me a couple of years ago? I’m not really into the Bluetooth side of it. I’m guessing more boost to the starter battery. Does the Dometic unit get more out of the solar panels ? Many thanks in advance. Cheers, Colin
