Mirror Caps. Stainless steel... thoughts?

Mirror interface scenario on a ferry in Croatia so looking at a DIY cap swap and stainless steel caps are not too spendy. Anyone have a pair fitted?

It's for a white van with the Sports Pack so black trim and the caps originally are glass black...
