It's not been that long (March this year) since with a heavy heart I sold my T6 Ocean and already I'm missing some of what it offered.
The reality is that 'er indoors much prefers the comparative luxury of a cottage and ensuite. Given that this is doable for us so often and the fact my Cali was 8 years old I started to wonder why I was lugging it around for commuting.
Don't get me wrong it was pretty much like it was when new so why change?
I was able to command reasonable money back, it had cost me nothing except regular servicing, tyres, added accessories and MOT's so I took that as a great way to say goodbye and part with it.
It's worked out OK and I now have a Polestar2 but for my own personal wishes I'd still like to take off on a solo over nighter or at a push 2 to 3 nights and be able to stay in a van.
I don't need the kitchen, wardrobe space or 4 seats. But I would like a no fuss fold out bed good side windows, DSG/auto and a pop top if possible.
Would it have to be VW? no it wouldn't but I'd get quite fussy over some fugly vans out there so it kind of all leads to the Caddy.

What is there out there close to car size?
I'm not bothered if there is a small pull out cooker thats just a bonus.

You lost me at “Caddy”!

They always look a bit “special needs”?

After the Ocean, you’d instantly regret it and start looking for another Ocean.
Just buy one. You know you’ll always shift it if needs be.

Stop it!

But you might be right on both counts, I know what you mean about looking special. It is something that doesn't sit right with me.

Sounds to me you know the answer to your question. Ocean all day long.

We use our van as a daily drive. 80% day van 20% Camper. We decided after a 180 T5.1 2012 and T6 Ocean in late 2016 to go for a Beach Camper T6.1, which works for us. We did consider a Caddy California, but it was just too small for us. We were pushed into the change as the T7 arrival was not what we wanted.
I am enjoying the less complicated functioning of the Beach. Even if we never slept in the van again, I do not feel I could manage without a camping van for day use.

Haha, yes, that right there! We have always thought they look a bit like a Hearse like too :D

Incidentally, you do know that your blue writing has the word 'pray' spelled 'prey' - something rather different.

Aha,
No never realised I'd done that and it was probably auto spell check as understand the difference. I hate auto check, I write some long stuff on the internet and I half watch what the result of the typing ends up as but sometimes when I post it and then read it back it's made a real hash of what I intended. But always after I've stopped scrutinising. All changed and thanks.

That looks really well done for a small space.
However as it contains the kitchen attributes I don't really need for my minimal needs it wouldn't be for me.
But thank you!

Not even for a creamy latte or hot chocolate before bed? The inverter and batteries will run the microwave and/or Tassimo for an evening meal and a breakfast before moving on.
