Lithium battery and charger dcdc

Hello,
I found a lot of subject on lithium battery for grand california but anyone answer to my need.

I installed lithium battery on my grand california and the issue is the charge is too high (> 150 amp).
I changed with obd battery type to lithium but i have still the issue (>150 amp)

Solution is to change to dc dc charger.

Does someone know how to install DC DC chager in a grand california please?

You can reduce the max charge rate via the obd2 port but a dcdc would be best approach.

I changed the battery type to lithium via the obd2 but the max charge did not change. It is still more than 150 amp. So bms of the battery cut off the charge.

Maybe i did the wrong task during the change via obd2...if someone can help

Hi, yes I have installed a Victron Orion XS dc-dc in my 680 with a 150ah lithium. It controls charge to 50 amp. The install is straightforward and it fits nicely behind the battery. In place of the factory split relay. The GC algorithm charges the starter battery fully on start up and then the house battery after driving for a while.

If you haven’t got a dc-dc and still use the factory standard charge relay that effectively connects the leisure battery across the starter battery when closed. If the starter is heavily discharged but generally in good condition a high back feed current surge from the lithium leisure to the starter battery is quite possible. That’s not something you can control other than by a dc-dc.
