Leaving laptop in the van!

I realise its not advisable to leave your laptop ion the van, but on the occasion when you have to, would you say its more secure in the wardrobe or in the bot on the lower level. My instinct is the latter...

I don't have the safe fitted and in any case its too small for a laptop.

Thoughts welcome...

A standard laptop should slide into the roof space in the centre, above or below the mattress.

If under the mattress then should be reasonably insulated.

The wardrobe temperature will be higher than the boot. If a thief is taking the time to rifle through the van, he'll find the laptop in either case. The suggestion from @WelshGas is the better place.
