Late in life to Camper Vans ... taking the first steps!!

Hi @Tricky Dicky (Richard) I know that previously I have thrown the LWB High roof Transporter into the mix.
However, although I don't know what your budget is have you looked at the now quite numerus MWB Crafters (or MAN TGEs) that are coming on the market? Yes I know most are self-builds and that they are 6m long but are often very well equipped and only in the price range of the later Transporter Californias.
We replaced out LWB Transporter(s) with a LWB TGE (6.8m) but that's a different story!
Hi, will have a look and thank you, need to look at other options also. Cheers.

Fully understand the mind set and process you’re currently going through.
When we bought our VW Cali Ocean, 6 years ago, we also looked at conversions. We were very impressed by Jerba ( Nth Berwick) but the prices weren’t that dissimilar from VW comparisons, so we went for VW.
Owning means check the weather and go, can’t do that when it’s rentals. Also when a dog is in the equation, not all rentals are ‘pet friendly’. Our T6 is also neat enough to use as a second car, some owners it’s their sole vehicle.
After 6 years, my recommendations :
An Ocean :
camping means a ‘kitchen indoors’ not an ‘add on’
reversing camera, it’s an easy drive but if you’re not used to size, it helps.
All the rest is very subjective.
Hope you find ‘what’s right for the family’
