I am thinking of traveling to Lake Annecy at the end of August this year. Has anyone stayed at Camping Le Lac Bleu, if you have do you have any feedback please. Do you have any other options around or close to the lake.

I was also planning a stop between Calais and Lake Annecy, about 3 to 4 hours away from Lake Annecy.

It will be just myself and wife travelling, no kids or pets.

Thanks

We stayed here a couple of years ago and loved it!
It's not directly on the lake, but that didn’t bother us. It is right on the cycle path and best to have bikes as we liked to go to Saint-Jorioz or Duingt for the bakery. Or further afield for exploring, including down to the lake access next to Le Lac Bleu. We also used the buses to get into Annecy itself.
But the whole area is beautiful. You probably can't choose a bad campsite around there!!

We visited Annecy last summer. It is beautiful. Lots of restaurants. The lake is beautiful. We took a pedalo out for a laugh.
We took the tram/train up Mont Blanc. I would recommend this.
Thank

Try Camping Annecy Lac - la Ravoire - Doussard - Yelloh Village very good and clean , a short walk to the lake , bars etc , directly on the cycle path around the lake. check out Camping Le Lac d'Orient for a good halfway stop on the way down again bars etc a short walk away

We have friends that live in the old town in Annecy and have spent several weeks there over the years.
It’s a great location with loads to do from activities on the lake and into the mountains.
You will have seen there are loads of options for campsites and most seem to be pretty high standard, we have had a look around several when we have cycled out of the town, my only advice is to book early, August is a ‘zoo’ in Annecy it gets super busy, to the point where you’ll want to be on a bike to get around, parking in town can become very challenging.

This is a great thread, visiting the BIL in Bargemon in May, looking for somewhere near lake Annecy for the 2nd Week.
I too am looking for somewhere to stay inbetween, thinking Reims to visit large SuperMarché

We did this trip in 2020 and I loved it.

We stayed at Le Camping Panoramic and had a front row pitch with amazing views for 4 days and also at Le Lac Bleu for 3/4 nights but could only get a rubbish pitch away from the lake. Loved both places and if you can get a front row pitch at the lake, I would stay for a week.

Unfortunately, we never ventured in to Annecy itself due to Covid.

We stayed at Camping Aux Rives du Lac on the way home which was a good stop off spot on the way back to the Eurotunnel.

Yes we've stayed there & highly recommend it! It's a beautiful site & great lake access for paddleboards/canoes ect. Lovely cycle track into Annecy in fact the whole way round the lake & a bus stop almost outside the gates with frequent buses into Annecy. We're hoping to go back this summer.
