Is my Tyre Protection Monitoring System TPMS broken?

The image below is what my TPMS is displaying. Firstly, the correct pressures for my 255/45 R18s is 45psi all round, so why does it say "OK" when it appears all of them are not 45psi? Secondly, I assume the numbers in brackets are the suggested psi, so why does it say 44 at front and 42 at back, whereas on the B pillar it says 45 all round. Thirdly, I have just adjusted all of them to be 45psi, so why is this not being shown by the TPMS? I have turned the engine on and off.

My manual is useless as it only mentions the ABS based system, so I don't know how to interpret or adjust what the TPMS is showing. Any help welcome, thanks

I think you need to drive the vehicle a short distance to get it to pick up the adjusted pressures after you have inflated them. That's what I have found anyway. Literally only a few hundred yards. I don't know about the difference between the recommended figures in brackets and what it says on the sticker on the B pillar, but there are two options available within the TPMS - you have it on standard (bottom left of screen shot) and there is also a second option for fully laden if you select that down arrow.

As an aside I do find that the pressures vary by a few psi as the tyres heat up when driving, and particularly noticeable on very cold days in the winter when mine sometimes drop low enough to trigger the amber warning light until the tyres warm up. Usually solved by putting an extra couple of psi in during the winter.

Don’t judge these values while standing still, when you start driving they will give more accurate and correct values. I believe it has to do with the way the system works: there is a receiver somewhere under the vehicle and depending on the distance to the different turning wheels it makes out wich one is front ,rear and left, right . They don’t get immediate updates when wheels are not turning.
Also there is a allowed deviation and values will change if for example right side of car is standing in the sun and left side in shadow or temperaturen is different from when you inflated tires .

I have never looked at the earlier cali’s but on most vehicles you can reset the correct pressure so it wont throw an error up, you can basically tell the system the pressure is the correct one regardless of what they are, just factory reset the tpm. (If that makes sense), make sure you manually check the pressures are correct before doing so.

Not on T6.1 TPMS system, only on ABS sensor based system you could what you suggest. Unless someone proves me wrong .

I have not tried to be honest, but I’ll have a look, I have done it on a number of cars when the tyres have been changed or the weather changes until I get to adjust the pressure correctly… then reset it back again

Thanks guys, I will check again after I have driven it, which won't be until I next need it as it is now parked down my very narrow drive, which is a pain to get out of. It does seem odd that the target figures in brackets differ from those on the B pillar. Which are more likely to be correct?

Standard and fully loaded are different tyre pressures.

Thanks, I thought i had already checked the fully loaded option, but obviously hadn't, as I can now see it specifies 45 all round, which matches the B pillar. So now I need to deflate them a bit, which will be good as the ride on these 255/45s is very hard.

Sunny side will raise the tyre pressures like this. Especially in the current weather. Check the pressures with a good guage when the van is in the shade.

On the Beach (imagine it’s the same for Ocean but with fancier graphics) if you have the TPMS info displayed on the driver’s screen, the ‘last known’ value from the previous drive is in a small font. When it gets an updated current reading it changes to a larger font.
