Improving brake feel

Has anyone considered improving the breaking feel on their T7 Multivan California?
I have a R5 E-Tech that has a brake feel like pushing on a brick and in comparison my Ocean’s brake feel is like standing on a wet sponge!
As a result I am thinking of upgrading the flexible brake lines to the front brakes with s/s branded ones.
A site in Germany has them for under £100 delivered.

Mine feels fine, but that's compared to my Enyaq, which in common with other VW group products on the same EV platform, has atrociously inconsistent brake feel as you push past the regen upper limit...

Nope, happy with mine. I am in pipe and slippers mode when driving the thing so I rarely put much pressure on the pedal. I think the active cruise brakes harder than I do :)

Just my own opinion, but I would be very surprised if changing the front hoses on a nearly new vehicle will make a big difference to the pedal feel. I can't imagine the OE hoses are the primary cause for the spongy feeling. I could be wrong of course.

Could you take another one out for a test drive and see if it is the same?

Also, I wouldn't want to give VW an inch of wriggle room on any warranty claim in the event of a brake related problem.

And what about notifying your insurer about the modification? They may not charge any additional premium but it could open a big can of worms!!

It is highly likely that your van has a decoupled brake system and the pedal feel is not directly related to actual brake pressure on the callipers. Most cars that have a PHEV or BEV in the range will have this type of system, even if your car is not a PHEV. It means that the brake pedal is more of a demand than actually braking and the system will determine the brake pressure to the callipers mixed with regen braking and you are feeling a simulated brake pedal. If it all goes horribly wrong the system will allow the brake pedal to act on the callipers (complete power loss) but this is not the normal operating situation.
