ID Buzz - Cancelled Order...

Forget PPM.
Just land a flat rate £250 for EV ownership.
It’ll stick money in the piggy bank without people feeling raped….

This is super alarmist. The ID buzz isn’t exactly a cheap EV. If you wanted to buy an EV to save money then you would be looking at a second hand MG. You are willing to drop £60k on a fancy car but not willing to spend an extra circa £300 taxing it.

I wouldn’t be handing over my money to the Chinese State. Buying secondhand only boosts their residual values.

As for the price of the Buzz.
This isn’t the first member to re-consider the vehicle. We can find many excuses, but the same underlying issue repeats itself.
The Price….

Its the principle.

I get tired of paying £500 / £800 / £122 / £33000 / £620 / £345 / £1100 / £456 / £3500 / £4899, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, on you worked 7 days, etc , etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc,......... so was delighted to find out that the VED on a 3.8 ton motorhome is only £165 a year.

Just like most on here moan about dealer prices.

If I came to replace my 12year Volvo I would look to buy a second hand car with a £35 VED rate.
thats exactly what i did. 2016 Golf GTD. great cars. £35 tax. i found a 2016 plate manual with under 10k on the clock

I’m just coming out of a Buzz GTX LWB to go into a Hybrid California. Its my company vehicle and the Hybrid is at a “reasonable” BIK cost , so I thought I’d scratch the itch.
I had a Buzz Style previous to the GTX, and what worried me was that the dealer didn’t want to take it in part exchange when I bought the GTX . Ended up selling it elsewhere.
Oh, and the GTX got “held up “ at the port , so wasn’t able to be registered until after the April date where they decided to add luxury car tax . Pretty sure that was a dirty trick by the government to delay so they got more money . Friends bought BMW iX3 and Porsche Cayenne at same time and were hit by similar delays.
