We’re booked on the 2030 ferry from Hull to Rotterdam on Monday to start a 3 week tour of the Rhine/Black Forest/Moselle. I’m sure I read somewhere that the ferry could be boarded early but can’t find any reference to it on the P&O website and their chat line not working. Does anyone know if this is true and if you can board early what time the ferry opens?

Thanks so much, just what I was looking for. We’ve booked 3 x nights at the Knauss Campsite in Koblenz as our first destination and will take it from there. Used ChatGPT to help with the itinerary which was really helpful.
We found the food to be a tad pricey on the ferry for what it is, but can vouch for the very early access. The entertainment is a bit amateurish too TBH. Sorry if this sounds a bit negative, we prefer the Harwich-Hook route.
However…you will love Koblenz and the site is well placed for the city. As for the Mosel, it is sublime with its small wine villages. We we there last week and can recommend Cochem, Pünderich, Zell…hope you are taking bikes and like wine :cheers

I couldn't wait 5 years, that is really far ahead planning!

And not only wines, also some great castles along the Mosel, especially the one in Cochem.
