Me and my better half are taking our teenage daughters to Wales this year.
We are starting in mid Wales heading for the coast and then travelling round north Wales and snowdonia.
Which begs my question what are your holiday plans :thumb :thumb

We are also planning a trip to snowdon in the summer holidays. Before that a week surfing at croyde. Shame work gets in the way of my trips.

We have to go in the school holidays. I booked every site in Yorkshire last year it felt to regimental
So we are going to book a few sites and wild camp the rest. :thumb

We're planning on going to Scotland at Easter - for our first proper outing in our Cali :) Looking forward to seeing friends up there, doing a tour of some of the distilleries, and camping before the midges arrive ;-)

Then off for a bigger trip in the summer, across Scandinavia.

Plus a couple of festivals, and lots of weekends away :)

Steve that's a fair trip from Brighton for your first outing :crazy. Should be fun though :thumb

We are just back from a fantastic few days in Edinburgh and are off to Portugal at Easter. Both of these breaks were planned before the Cali arrived!! However....

We are doing 4 festivals; a week in Pembrokeshire; and probably 3 weeks in France. We plan to finalise those in the next couple of weeks.

Iain

We're going to so spend a week on the coast near Clifden in west Ireland. The campsite is 'actons beach' can't wait. We'll spend a couple of days in Pembrokeshire on the way and a couple on the way back somewhere around Snowdon.

We're on the CC site at Moreton on marsh now and it is packed!

Steve forgot to mention picking the Cali up on the 9th of March and immediately going camping for the weekend!

Pick up Cali on 1 March and then straight off somewhere for long weekend - not planned yet, will probably just wait til the day of pick up! Still deciding which festival to got to - no Glasto this year so looking further afield - the ones in Oslo, Bilbao and Lisbon are looking good - but only one of them! Plus a week or 2 in France later in the year and down to Devon/Cornwall for a week, with a few weekends away thrown in for luck!

We stayed at Actons Beach this summer. It was an amazing few days and we'd go back there tomorrow. Kris the owner is a star. Booking is essential although we just rocked up. The fishing is great. The walking stunning and the island and the sand causeway great to drive your Cali over to. Can we come with you?

The facilities are very basic but who cares when you've got a site with views like this. Probably the best site we've ever stayed on because it's just s different.

France & a run down through Carcassone to Barcelona (if plans come together) after Easter, then France in June for the 24 Heures du Mans. Summer not yet sure.

Le Mans this year likely to be a damp squib compared to last few years what with the Pugs pulling out of WEC ! . 4 Audis entered two of which will be hybrids. Doubt if new Toyota can challenge.

It won't be the same scrap in LMP1 as last year, but as a Pilgrim of la Sarthe there will always be battles to enjoy. :barmy :barmy

Holidays in the California this year includes ;

Weekend in April in the New Forest, just me and the 3 children!, wife on a hen do!

German Grand Prix in July

8 days in lake Annecy in Early August

A long weekend away camping in Hertforshire in late August

I think that will do.........

Oh and I'll also be doing a couple of MTB weekends away with the lads, but nothing decided yet.

@V3RN come on over - plenty of room if you book early!!

Le Mans? won't be the same this year, I've enjoyed tracking the progress of my nephew running the Ray Mallock Lola for the last few years. They're not running this time around though 8-(

Brief stay in the New Forest in April, countless nights by the beach in our own county and hopefully a SW France mission in early Autumn.

Probably April in Cornwall with a few nights in Bath (Hole in the Wall and Loch Fyne Oster Bar) en route from Glasgow for the first half of the year and probably Black Forest in the second half.
With the usual long weekend trips up West Coast of Scotland in between (Loch Bay Restaurant, 3 Chimneys, Kilberry Inn, Jan's Cake Shop sort of thing).

Any advice on Cornish sites would be very welcome ... last time I was there I was 12!

Barry - gave a few ideas on the UK section. Shout if you need any help!

We might be heading up to Iona in August for a wedding - not sure whether to fly or drive the van up (we have a 1 and 3 year old!). Three Chimneys is one place I WILL visit as soon as humanly possible!!

We'll probably have a several long weekends in Skye, Arisaig, Aviemore etc then a trip to Holland/N. Germany in the summer.

KernowLad - we were in Iona last April. You definitely have to stay at Fidden Farm campsite, it's just stunning (and is where the pic on my profile was taken). We had the entire beach to ourselves. We also stayed at the hostel on Iona for a night which is also highly recommended..

Also looking at Holland / North Germany - in May.

Then somewhere more southern and warm in September. Probably one or more of SE France, southern Germany, Switzerland, Slovenia.

Trip to Le Man's in Jun, only problem is I want to take my car and my wife will want to take the new California. Will no doubt be expensive, best find some co-pilots to ride shotgun! :crazy

A couple of mentions above of festivals. Is anyone else planning on going to Womad (Malmsbury, Wilts, last weekend in July)? We went in the Cali last year and it was a superb event, but we only saw 1 other California in the Campervan field! Holidays - we have already done Spain and Portugal, plus Skiing in Andorra, and plan Croatia & Slovenia later this year.

Hi, Tim

We normally go, but might give it a miss this year. Just to try something else ... and so I have enough annual leave left for a 3 week road trip in August :)

Definitely looking forward to doing festivals in the Cali though!

I may see you there. Are you doing drinks at The Bounty, The Guinness tent or is it crêpes at the Grand Marnier stand?
I'll be in Parking Blanc
