T5 Cali on order
Good morning.

Currently in the market for a California. Have a budget of £30k, not a lot, but is to us! We've acted too slow on a few already and we know we can get what we want in that range based on what's happened so far lol! (We started with £25k but have raised some extra pennies to try and get into California range!).

After an Ocean, know we're going to be looking at the seemingly less desireable 180biturbo (fully aware of possible issues) and years 2010 to about 2014 at that price range, but the van itself ticks all the boxes. (We sold our T4 after 15 years earlier in the year and fully regretted it).

Our eldest is now at Uni in Stirling and our daughter left fro Australia last week and we've instantly realised we need a van back in our lives sooner rather than later. Thought i'd share my van that I sold. Feels like we sold our memories when it left lol!

There was a lovely grey 2014 Cali on autotrader yesterday that was up for £29.5k and we made a decision but missed out, as we did with a black one for same price a few days earlier, so now we're going to be on ebay and autotrader daily so we don't miss out through being slow for a well priced van.

Hi, there are a couple on the forum sales page but a tad over 30k. And a petrol one as well! Maybe worth a look and a cheeky offer?

dont discount a Beach - and make it your own inside.
I think by the time we've bought the van, the cost of putting in units, sink, fridge etc makes it way over budget. Not sure there's enough gap in values to make it worth it?

For reference, we've not been quick enough to buy the following...

A 2012 ocean, 1 owner from new, fsh, TDI 6 speed in black with 97k up for £27,500.
A 2014 ocean, 2 owners, 'solid sh, 180 in grey with 81k up for £29,500 (this looked the part too lol)
A 2014 ocean, 1 owner, fsh in white 180, only 31k up for £30,000.

So vans at that price are selling quickly. Seen some up for ~£35k sitting around a while, mostly with garages who I appreciate have margins and warranties to worry about though, so understand that.

I think we'll find in our budget, but need to be patient.

This is the one we thought we'd go for last night and were too late (hope owner doesn't mind) but looks lovely (kerb appeal lol!)

Incidentally, saw a CJL conversion for £25k last month first which had all the Cali type additions....obviously...too slow again.
