Hi all,

I’ve got a 2005 VW T5 California and the alarm keeps going off, usually in the middle of the night. Driving me (and the neighbours!) mad.

Has anyone had this before? I’m wondering:
  • Could it be the sliding door not connecting/closing properly?
  • Or maybe a weak battery triggering it?
  • Any other common culprits I should check? Air temperature?

More importantly is there a way to completely disconnect the alarm just to stop the nuisance until I can sort it properly.

Any advice much appreciated!

All depends how the alarm is being triggered?
The internal alarm can be disabled . Do you have a switch on the Drivers door B pillar? If so, shut all doors apart from drivers door. Activate switch shut drivers door and lock.
Low battery can cause alarm to sound as can insects, a spider or fly etc:.
