Well that could be me. Heard it is on its way today .Ok, software just flashed to the Norwegian version. Just the heater bit, nothing for the motor. It's clearly different and have the Water Heater option showing in the roof control. All tested and working.
Thanks @sidepod for digging into this. It's a lot better now!
Dongle back in the post for the next recipient.
It’s much better isn’t it. It feels like it’s set up how it was designed as opposed to a daft work around that makes little sense. Happy with it? I think I’m next with the dongleJust to confirm that I had this modification done last night and all seems well; took about 25 minutes. Thanks to all!
Well you posted the TX board info.... which is actually a good place.I think old Fite is snowed under
Working well on the plipper? All done no probs? If anyone else is looking to get this done let Fite know. I did mine last night so Dingle currently in uk.

In this video Eugene connects the signal wire to the connector block underneath the seat. If a T6 has the factory fitted Eberspacher air heater, this green/white wire is not present in pin 1, so a wire will need to be installed from the Webasto coolant heater to underneath your seat.I think I've answered my own question... it does work on T6 too.
But essentially I need to buy this kit
Kabelbaum für Telestart-Installation kompatibel mit VW T6 & T6.1 Webasto Multivan/Caravelle : Amazon.de: Elektronik & Foto
Kabelbaum für Telestart-Installation kompatibel mit VW T6 & T6.1 Webasto Multivan/Caravelle : Amazon.de: Elektronik & Fotowww.amazon.de
and then get the guy mentioned on this thread to do the coding or follow the coding in this video....
Is that right? Sorry if I'm being thick.

On my Beach, I bought the kit from eBay (Lithuania) and flashed the software myself with VCP. As I was having a new radio fitted by Dav-Tec in Chesterfield,I paid him to install the receiver, and also to do the wiring. A vehicle lift makes the job a bit easier. Advanced In-Car Technologies in Poole also do this mod, but it's not cheap. That sounds easier said than done... I don't understand why VW haven't included this by default on all vans. Anything to save 10p.
