GOOGLE MAPS NOW INTERACTING WITH NAV

Started a journey today using Google Maps in CarPlay (as normal) and after I put the destination in, the dash VW Nav display showed arrows and prompts and ETAs etc! However the infotainment screen in VW Nav mode did not display a set route - only the normal map with no specific route set. This must be new after an update. The dash arrows etc replace the compass until the route ends. Anyone else experience this?

Have the same, formally this only worked with Apple Maps but now also with Google Maps.

What I've noticed however that, while the distance on the dash is the same as in Google Maps, the ETA slightly varies compared to the one in Google Maps. Sometimes it's off for 10-20 minutes but only negatively. Seems like the ETA is somehow calculated outside of Google Maps.
