GC680 2025 - Repeated Errors (Drive System / ACC)

We picked up our GC680 at the end of last year and sine then it has been in the VW workshop 3 times to try to fix repeated errors (they have changed a junction box and performed a software update) but still occuring.

The only modification we made after delivery (before the errors occurred) was installing a Scorpion Tracker S5+ with immobiliser.

The errors do not occur when the engine is cold at the start of the day, often if we stop for coffee / lunch and stop for an hour or two the engine will attempt to start, you can just hear it try to turn over (similar to a low battery with insufficient charge) then we will get the following errors:

1 - Drive System visit workshop - Amber
2 - ACC - Amber
3 - either Start / Stop or Travel Assist is currently unavailable - Amber

It will start if the then hold the Start / Stop button down and the codes clear.

It is due to go back to VW for a 4th time (under warranty) but interested to hear if anyone else has seen similar faults or thoughts on potential cause by the tracker with the immobiliser.

Have you tried getting the Scorpion Immobiliser disabled. The vehicle already has an Immobiliser.

We have a MAN TGE - 2024 model fitted with a scorpion S5+ ( Basically a VW crafter if you are not aware). It will always throw up odd faults when you initially turn the ignition on. Took us a while to get used to how to start it consistently. We use the scorpion app as the tag (rather than the physical tag).

So ignition on
Open app ( usually you get a message to say tag activated on the phone)
Press start button. 9/10 will start but then immediately stop
Press start button again - starts properly and error messages disappear.

I suspect your issue is related to the tracker (I'm surprised VW haven't washed their hands of it!) but not necessarily a "fault" but just a quirk of the Scorpion.

Until we got the hang of it, a few hairy moments in ferry queues when we couldn't get a brand new van to start.

Have you tried getting the Scorpion Immobiliser disabled. The vehicle already has an Immobiliser.

Chances are the tracker is an insurance requirement.

I don't have the tracker but i remember several erratic warning messages related to ESP, START STOP ...
All fixed when i swapped to a new engine battery, previous was 5,5 years old

True, but you can have a Tracker without its own immobiliser which could interfere with the vehicles own immobiliser.
If removing the Scorpion immobiliser gets rid of the OP's problems then you have the cause. It could have been installed incorrectly.
