Hi all, having another problem on this trip. We have discovered that the carpet between the shower and the kitchen unit is saturated. We are not sure where it is coming from. We have noticed it when the shower was not in use. In addition to this, the base of the sink tap/shower tap is leaking. I have tried to stem this using PTFE, but wondered if the leakage could be down to that. We cannot see any water leakage in the kitchen units. I have attached a photo, of the area concerned, with the carpet pulled back. Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

Hi

Common areas for leaks are the waste pipe under the kitchen sink. Some crack and allow a steady drip when emptying the sink. The other more common one is the connection to the tap/shower in the shower room. There is a small pin that locks the pipes into place and if not located properly can allow the hoses to drop out of place and water to drip down the outside of the pipes. Also check inside the cupboard under the sink for any water

Many thanks for your advice. We will look at each possibility. It may have to go into the dealership as I wouldn't be able to tackle the shower possibility. Will post the outcome. Thank you.

As per Woody Woodwood comment, we had this issue with our first van - it was the pipes in the bathroom cabinet that (in our case) hadn’t been fitted correctly, but can also happen overwinter. We also got the water in the rear of the van (rear doors). The outside shower can be another culprit for this. Does sound like a water leak rather than brake light or sealant leak.
