GC 600 - Drive Away Awning and interior set up for movies

Hi team VW,

We have a GC 600 which we love. Our kids are getting a bit bigger and I’m looking for options for a drive away awning that connects neatly to van for extra space and for rainy Irish days.

Separately - any good seating options for between the two captain chairs? I was thinking a tall cooler box with a cushion on top. We watch movies on an iPads mounted over the back chairs at night time.

A choice of two ways to mount a projector screen. Seating for more than two is difficult.

One or two can lie on the bed. One side on sitting on the bench and another on the passenger seat. Not sure if there’s a viewing angle from the driver seat.

Another way is to hang a screen from the eyelets that hold the child safety net and mount a small table on the arms of the passenger and driver seat to support a projector. Think seating options even more limited, though.

Current set up attached. We have an iPad attached to any extendable arm that folds up when not in use. I bought a Yeti cool box that (hopefully) will sit nearly between captains chairs and can be used as a seat (with a cushion on top). Kids are still small so it should work for four person viewing.

I’ll try the projector with the pull down screen on the next trip. I never thought of using those eyelets! Great idea.
