Flappy flaps today!!

Morning all....

... Nothing to do with the hot weather... Well maybe but the flaps just are not behaving today!

This beaut starting wildly waving at every vehicle I passed today. It seems the clip isn't clipping anymore! No idea how to control my flap anymore! Any suggestions welcome.

I’ve never had this problem, but it does always feel likely.

Other than replacement, my mind goes to a small Velcro patch on the underside (that itself will eventually have to be replaced).

Its always felt a bit flimsy, with you on that. Looks like heat and vibration (roads near me are a MESS) so it didn't stand a chance it seems!

I sorted my Flappy Flap with a pair of these.

Neodymium Magnets

Various sizes. Also good for making sun shades etc.

I had the same issue earlier this year. I fitted this. Very straightforward - just take a picture of the wiring before disconnecting for peace of mind

I change my vote to the little magnets / magnetic strip. Much nicer than Velcro or blu tack.

Self adhesive magnetic strip been on mine for at least 10years and still working well.

I had the same... and another vote for small amount of magnetic strips, been fine every since

I had this problem recently, and fixed it using these self adhesive magnets:

The trick to getting them in the right position is to remove the bit of paper covering the adhesive side, and put the magnets on the little screw heads on the EHU fitting. Then simply close the flap, push hard, and the magnets will end up being attached to the flap in exactly the right places!
