Fitting a shelf in clothing locker

Has anyone bought or self fitted a shelf in the front of the 2 lockers. VW have helpfully (?) included a hanging rail but as I rarely take anything that needs hanging (ball gown, trouser suit etc) on my Cali adventures I could make far better use of the space if a shelf could be fitted to divide the space. Any one any ideas or addressed this on their own van? Thanks
