Dim Dashboard Display on T5 California

[The Lost Jockey]

The blue display for the dashboard is weak on my T5. I sometimes have trouble reading the speed I am going. It might be due to the blue light. I have, of course, got the brightness button turned up on full. However, I would still like the display to be brighter.



Is it easy to install a brighter bulb? What type of bulb would you suggest?

I have a similar issue on my aged Golf. It’s on the job list. I was going to bypass the dimmer/spray with contact cleaner first to see if that helps.
