Diesel heater clicking knocking

Hi , I’ve got a GV600 with diesel heater . Its started to click and knock when turned on. Anyone else have this issue?

We had one van where I’m sure we never had that but our current van does. I wrote to Truma and they replied that it’s the sound of the diesel pump, there isn’t a fix.

it is the diesel fuel pump an it is normal in T6/T6.1 ,I suppose also normal in GC

It can be the pump priming and settles down.
Some diesel heaters pumps are just always thumping. You can see on youtube lots of people trying to dampen the pump with rubber mounts to curb the thumping.
Some even have tried to house the pump and muffle the sound.

I was always told that when putting on a eberspacher or webasto type - put it on max heat on start up - get it to do its prime / thumping out the way and then after a few mins turn it down to the temp you want it at. It will then be quieter - not totally disappeared - but at least quieter.
