Cycle Carrier Protective Tape

I need to replace the clear tape for the cycle carrier mounting brackets.

I have tried Ebay, the California shop, without success.

Firstly I am not sure what it is called. I've tried cycle carrier protective tape etc.

Anyone know where I can get some, better still anyone used something else, cheaper/better?

Search for Helicopter Tape on eBay, buy a small piece large enough to cut new pieces using existing tape as templates. Works out reasonably cheap.
