Constant active water pump

My Water pump is constantly whirring, Tap seems to be just fine. Anybody come across this issue before?

I've disconnected the pump itself as my batteries were dead. Could this be a tap issue?

My guess would be that the contacts of the micro switch in the tap have arced and welded themselves together.
I and others have made a modification by adding a relay to the tap circuit to reduce the current through the tap.

If you have a shower, it can also be the switch on that.

Good morning folks.

I disconnected the pump and reconnected now it’s decided not to work at all.
I removed the handle and microswitch and it fell apart. After successfully re inserting the switch parts, I must have assembled it wrong as the handle tore it apart. Now sadly it’s broken the contacts.

All I can think about is it started randomly and continued until the batteries ran out, how long must that have been

So we’re off to sunny Latham today. Bottled water for us, and tap reassembled but not as much as to easily remove for the new switch.

Hopefully it’s just a fuse, and not the pump itself.

Hi, no shower more likely the microswitch which I managed to destroy in the process of repair.
