Hi all, anyone got a photo or schematic of where the clutch switch is and how to get to it to replace it?
I've had a couple of starting issues lately with the clutch pedal down but no ignition (I can hear relays click) so I pump the clutch a few times and it's usually fine so I want to replace the switch before it dies. Not sure if there is a different clutch switch as I also have cruise control? LLL Parts show it as 7H0927189 but it only has 2 wires and I assume it would have four with cruise control at a guess.
Any help appreciated.

Hazard a guess and say somewhere at the top of the clutch pedal? Poke your head up under tge dash and see if you can see it?

Tried that but cant see it :)

Is that not it?

Possibly, just the VW part only has two connection unless there is another part no with 4 connection with cruise control which is why I'm asking. I will try and get my hand up there to remove the connector which, knowing VW, will be a bugger!

I found a few photos of the transporter clutch pedal assembly with the switch but mine doesn't have a switch in that position, anyone else got one on their Cali clutch pedal???

From what I find, the switch is just a two pin unit. Cruise shouldn’t require any additional contacts, it’s just an input to the ECU.

Wiring diagram for 2007 onwards shows just two wires.

Whip it out and give it a good old spray internally with contact cleaner.

Thanks @sidepod but my 2010 T5.1 SE doesn't seem to have a clutch switch fitted but a hall sensor on the brake master cylinder, see pic. I'll have to try and do a scan for clutch sensors with obd11 and see what I find. Others have said it could be the ignition lock/switch causing the issue.

Ok just re-read your OP. I thought you were looking for a pedal switch??

If the sensor is duff then it’s a bigger job to replace the master cylinder with integrated sensor.

Deffo scan for codes before you go any further.

I was looking for a clutch pedal switch but on investigation my T5.1 doesn't have one as it has a hall sensor in the master cylinder.
Codes were fine for the brake and clutch pedals but the Engine code showed P305400 fault code which indicates that the starter motor is not turning due to either a mechanical blockage or an electrical malfunction. Cleared it and hasn't come back yet so I'll have to check the starter motor wiring and earth and if not that then maybe the ignition switch.
Thanks for your help.
Love these intermittent faults!
