Cigarette lighter issues

Hi all I bought a used 2018 t6 ocean this year and I have recently found an issue with the cigarette lighter, if I plug my double USB adapter in all is good charges perfectly, if I try to charge the cigarette lighter torch or use the cigarette lighter it blows the 15A fuse behind the bottle cooler, I have also noticed the orange plastic surround never illuminates any advice would be appreciated.

Is it full of ash from the cigarette lighter, give it a really good clean, sounds like you have a short inside when certain types of plug are inserted

The lighter appears unused possibly the only solution is to change the cigarette lighter housing or at least take it apart to check the connections

In that case, strip it down and carefully inspect the cables, I expect a previous owner has jury rigged something else to the cables and then removed whatever it was and not properly insulated the original wires. do you have some PVC electrical tape?

Yes I have all the equipment needed and have been studying YouTube videos on how to strip it down without damaging the shiny bits, thanks for the advice
