CarPlay on screen buttons not working google map

Hi all
Fault has started (not sure when exactly) when using CarPlay via usb
iPhone 17 connects ok and google maps works fine.
Issue is the on screen buttons on left side of screen that contains audio mute button for example do not work
Tried different cables
I’ve tried Apple Maps and same issue on left side of screen
The screen works fine with native systems

T6 ocean 2017 with discovery media pro

Any similar experience or solutions?

Sounds like the touch screen has failed on that section of the display. A common problem with the Media Player with lots of posts on the forum https://vwcaliforniaclub.com/threads/touch-screen-and-satnav-problems.45438/page-2.

I wondered if was that too, but the screen works fine with the normal vw satnav, radio etc. it’s only happening when CarPlay is in use
