Mine came via England was there a couple of years before Ireland I’m the second owner in Ireland last owner here did a lot of Europe as far as Greece

Hope the above help. second link, read the last comment. gives you an idea. tbh once you get the panel off it all makes sense

Well done on the new van. We bought ours last year and it is the identical model also LHD but was imported to the uk in 2006 as new. We only have 140k miles on the clock though.

We live in Australia and come over and travel for three months in the van every year. Currently in the bulkans. We love the van and it’s been great.

All good advice above. For the door table holder I have seen the fix but haven’t had time to do that. I sprayed some silicone lube in and it works ok. After opening it I give it a bang with my hand and it unsticks ready to put the table in later. We do this every day for months and it works fine all the time. Above is a better fix if you can do it though

Our sink bench glass came loose which had me worried. I fixed it in June with two part epoxy, and after two moths of use every day it’s going strong.

Read about roof hydraulic issues. At this age you will have them. Ours died while in Spain last year. They corrode over the years and at our vans age I would change the rams and sensors now before they go. They will go and will go when you’re using it on holiday. When it goes you are stuffed so replace it now is my advice. We used kernow campers in Cornwall. Basically all he does and now ours are like new and will last a long time. To get to Cornwall from Spain (or anywhere to anywhere) with a broken roof was not fun. But we worked it out.

All the best and have fun. LHD is a god send when in Europe and is easy when in Ireland or the UK.

Jeff.

Hi Seán,
We also have a 2006 Cali and based in Ireland. Bought it 6 years ago from this forum. I think I've only seen one other T5 Cali in Ireland in that time. If you ever need anything feel free to send a message. Plenty of issues encountered and sorted over the yrs. Enjoy your van!

I have also just bought a 2007 Cali LHD 2.5 6 speed. Originally German, UK , Northern Ireland and now trying to VRT it into Ireland, not an easy process and expensive.
Fridge not working, headlights need changing otherwise a solid bus.

Seen that on donedea few weeks ago
lovely bus should be simple but expensive just vrt at 13.3% as in Northern Ireland for a few years them hoors could say it’s worth 25 or 30k
What wrong with the headlights a sticker should get it through the crvt I have spare headlights but not sure are the uk or European spec as aftermarket in mine
