Cali Wind out awning C channel

I appreciate this is probably going to be a daft question but I am always of the view there is no such thing as a daft question

The Cali wind out awning has a C channel built into it. I have a Vango Mangra awning, it has what I would describe as a ribbed section at the end where the awning would attach to the van.

Will I need to get an adapter to attach the awning to the van or will the ribbed section slide into the C Channel?

I don’t have space to test fit it at home otherwise I would have tried to see if it works or not.
