Black round plastic piece in boot with metal electrical contacts. Right hand side by floor??What is it????

There is a black plastic round one inch diameter connector perhaps near floor in boot. it has flat metal connections on it top. Looks like a bottle top with 2 flat smooth metal bits on. What’s it for??

I am assuming it is some sort of proprietary magnetic 12v charger for an accessory owned by the previous owner, plugged into a 12v point.

It should pull straight out. Unless they swapped the whole plug out.

It’s one half of a Magcode 12v connector.
Won’t pull out as there is likely a threaded retaining ring behind it.

It’s a magcode connection as previously mentioned. These were a factory fit 12v connection in all the T5 2.5l California’s.
I don’t know when they were changed to standard 12v accessory connection, maybe the facelift T5.1 vans with the 2.0l engine.
