I went with the Cadac safari 30 after asking the same question with 907 bottle and 907 for for the van hob, so plenty of gas if one runs out. The Cadac is quick and easy to set up and is a very versatile grill and doesn’t take up too much room. The gas is on offer at the moment from go outdoors as posted on forums here.I have searched and seen a few options but given my requirements I wondered what you guys would recommend?
After much struggling for some time now with a very small charcoal BBQ from Go Outdoors, culminating with it taking me several hours to cook 6 sausages at a campsite in Serbia (I almost drank all of the beer whilst i was waiting, photo for amusement!), i have decided I need a small portable gas BBQ, there are generally only 2 of us in the van for the majority of the time and it would only really be for most likely occasional use. I thought it might be good to have something than runs off the same gas bottle or the slightly smaller version or even some of the small canisters to save space. I know the Cadac is a likely contender but can you guys inspire me with what you'd recommend, ideally from experience. my girlfriend seems keen on a Weber, but they all look big and not that foldable to me. Please be clear on the model name etc so I don't go and buy the wrong one (pics also would be helpful)

Thanks in advance
That's exactly what I've done. But unknowingly!I have the bigger Cadac but if I were buying again I’d probably go for one of the cadac cook double burners with griddle pans - basically a bbq but way more versatile, 2 burners instead of 1 for outdoor cooking other food and probably a better shape for packing.

My suggestion would be take the boss to see both. The boss has advised me to purchase an outside cooking station.
Which fascinate’s me, as she doesn’t like spending money or cooking.
I’ve found this cadac 2 cook 2 on +amazon+amazon+amazon+amazon+amazon+amazon for £89 and the EN417 hose for my 6x Coleman gas canisters upstairs that I bought 2 years ago.
What hose do I need to connect it to my spare 904 ?
And is the C2C2 have the quick release fitting.
If not, what cadac part number do I need to purchase ?
Or do I just get the C2C3, and that is a better option? Has the reflective heat and QR, and burner flame out detector.

Do the c2c3 for £98!
Good idea, she can sign off on the purchase and I’ll not get any grief from the Starlink mini I just bought (without prior sign offMy suggestion would be take the boss to see both.
C2 does not have the quick release fitting but it cheap and readily available, no idea what the Cadac part number is (Google)
The hose on regulator for 907 are pretty standard anywhere that sells gas cookers etc.
I got my whole set up from ago outdoors when it was on offer (including the quick release coupling )
Can you let me know what table that is please, that looks a perfect sizeOur Cadac in full grill mode this week. Replicates built in capability but allows grilling of food you’d never do inside!

What sort of energy does it consume for say an hour of grilling? If you have access to a powerbank such as Jackery or Bluetti, etc, I heartilly recommend a plug in electric grill. We no longer need to carry gas and use rechargeable powerbanks for every need when travelling. They recharge while driving or from solar when stationary.

Reminds me. Need to redirect DHL to a drop off box.
I think it’s a Hi Gear branded item from Go Outdoors, I know Decathlon also do one of a similar size that folds in half so even more compact. Can you let me know what table that is please, that looks a perfect size

Typically they are 1500 - 1600w, so this is the hourly consumption on full power, though most things such as burgers etc are done in 10-15 minutes, and often at a lower temp = lower wattage. What sort of energy does it consume for say an hour of grilling?
Thanks very kind of you.No problemo - see photo

I’ve noticed (from Go Outdoors site) you can also get a plancha plate, and grill place lids, which makes this quite adaptable. No problemo - see photo

I’ve been looking at the 2 Cook 3 Pro - this also has an insert for a Bialetti style coffee maker (or a small pan). Also has windshields and a bottom heat shield. One thing to note (that was not the same when I bought mine )
There are different models of the stove :
the basic stove doesn't come with the grilling plates , just burner rings , the "delux model " has the plates.
Yiu can buy the plates separately, currently the stove is £55 and plates are £35 each , which is actually cheaper than the "Delux" model - DYOR though there may be more differences
