Hi, could someone please tell me the make and model of the wind out awning on a MY23 T6.1 Ocean.

If it’s a factorly fitted wind out it will be the Thule 5102

what is it you are trying to find out / achieve?

if you can be specific, you may get the answer you require.

I’ve been looking at some side panels and the site has asked for awning type. This information will be useful thank you.

Hi, I also was looking for the type of the awning. And also because I am considering side panels. All side panels I found on webshops were too large. And one webshop stated that a panel for this awning is not existent.
Glad I found your answer and as an extra with the exploded view. BTW do you know the function of part 19? Indeed 2 of these are in the awning and can be shifted from left to right. But why are they there?

Part 19 are to prevent the awning arms rattling when closed. Thule do rain blocker sides and a safari room for these awnings. Try Rose Awnings, they have the best selection of Thule accessories and spare parts. The G3 residence is available for the awning but is quite expensive c. £1400

We have the G2 rain blocker which makes a huge difference. We use 1, 2, 3 or all panels depending on the weather. It packs us small (compared to our driveway) and is light. It goes up in minutes and you can work in the rain from the inside, do I all, a great unit. Currently, circa £580

I bought the Comfortz awning room from Campervanbits (don’t forget your VIP membership discount code). Just back from a trip away and used awning room loads. Easy to put up and take down. Fits on the standard VW California awning. Down to £399.
The Comfortz awning room looks a good option and packs down small for travelling. I like the choice of colours and the material on the walls. It looks like it fits on the existing cranked awning arms so would give a smallish room. I wonder how tolerates windy weather?
The G2 rain blocker is a thick plastic so perhaps not such a nice material. It has separate beams that clip onto the edges of the awning giving the roof a rigid structure and using the full awning space. With storm straps, we find we can leave it up in reasonably windy conditions without too much worry.
It would be interesting to see them side by side.

We purchased one of these - did a cheeky personal touch and asked for zipped d
sides not velcro.(small added cost)

Sorry, my post was unclear, I was comparing the Comfortz with the Thule G2 room. Not sure which one you had adapted.

We brought the comfort and very pleased with it not to big packs away nicely between folding seats in back door .If you go with it you need to buy bigger and stronger pegs which Lidl d sell 12 for about £4.00 very good also the comfort has nice colours to go with Van .

Have a look at oberlink in Holland, they have a good selection of awning rooms, they do a good copy keenly priced and will deliver to uk

We had 25/30mph winds while up in Yorkshire this month (Whitby) and the awning room was fine. There’s pegs to hold down the sides on the outside and small plastic pegs to hold the bottom edge flaps down inside. In addition I always use the awning tie down kit when the awning is out.

The awning room is just big enough for the table which is stored in the Cali door, 2 chairs and a Greyhound day bed. I found putting the door by the boot made more useable space inside and not such a trek to get things out of the boot.
