Has anyone ever tried a mobile alloy refurbishment? And was it any good?

Seen them advertised, but always thought about the paint curing process - how effective it is ?!

I had 2 wheels refurbished on my MX5 and Smart Roadster before I sold them and you couldn’t tell they’d been repaired. They cure the paint under heater lights in the van. Picture below is after repair. My old MX5 is local to me still and 2 years on the wheels still look as new.

Ive had it done a few times in the past, only once for a Cali wheel that I damaged. Each time the results have been excellent, well worth it. Just check reviews before you choose who to go with and hopefully all will be good

Is it a painted alloy or polished? A paint guy I used locally did incredible work with the diamond cut kerb damage on my alloys before I returned to the lease co just using differing grades of abrasive paper.

I knew where the damage was and could barely pick it up close. Unless you are kneeling in front of them looking precisely where the damage was, you would never know they were repaired

Very cost effective alternative to a full refurb.
